Who We Are

byron williams biokinetics

Byron Williams

BSc. Honours Biokinetics
University of Stellenbosch

I have a special interest in both respiratory and cardiac rehabilitation. I have a keen interest in assisting patients with Cystic Fibrosis and other chronic diseases affecting the heart and lungs.
I have worked closely with those both on the waiting list for life saving organ transplantation, assisting them in preparation for transplant, as well as those that have received an organ transplant, helping with recovery and rehabilitation and the beginning of a second chance at life.

I gained 5 years of invaluable experience at a practice specializing in neurological and orthopedic conditions in which I treated a wide variety of disorders. This is where my passion developed, as an advocate of exercise for ALL, no matter ones limitations.

I am passionate about helping those that find being physically active a challenge, be it as a result of disease or disability. By making adjustments in the way exercise is performed and tailoring programmes to the individual, I firmly believe that exercise is medicine.

I really enjoy participating in team sports, spending time outdoors and socialising with friends and family. I am a strong advocate of organ donation and helping raise awareness of giving the ultimate gift of life.

James Attwell

BA Honours Biokinetics
University of Johannesburg

I graduated from the University of Johannesburg in 2016 with an honours degree in biokinetics. Icompleted my internship at a practice in the West Rand, where I developed a keen interest, as well as gaining experience in orthopaedic and cardiovascular conditions, neurological disorders, as well as sporting related injuries.

I have participated in a variety of sports over the years from swimming to hockey, however, my passion remains steadfast for running and cricket – with several years worth of playing experience in the latter. It is through sport participation that my passion for biokinetics and rehabilitation was developed.

Helping people to live a healthier and better life remains my commitment.
